So you have heard about these freelance websites that can be a good side income. And they do work to some extent even though the competition now is crazy. But having a side income and clients who keep on finding you without any effort is really cool!
However, If you are starting new you might have a very hard time finding a unique service that you will rank for. That’s why I made these 5 steps for you to start your path into glory.
Don’t target the masses
An often mistake I see when someone sees gigs that are working and crushing it on Fiverr, They copy their gigs exactly without really knowing why and how they did that.
This by far is one of the worst things that will make you give up on Fiverr completely. When you want to create a gig you need to go for something that has low competition in order for you to stand out little by little.
Quality over quantity
If one client tries your gig and finds out that your service isn’t high quality they will simply not work with you again.
And that would be a big mistake.
Some of the clients that I had come again and again to ask for more work.
So always think in terms of long-time clients and how many times they will ask for that service and how you can cross-promote between your services to them.
Promote your Fiverr gigs
Just like any freelance platform out there, There are so many clients out there that work with freelancers directly and they have built a good trust.
You need these kinds of clients as you will reach them out by any means possible and one of the ways that really work in grabbing their attention online is through email.
Simply put if you have an email for someone very related to the service you offer then you have a good chance of selling your gig.
This is why I recommend using a tool called GetEmail.io that can get anyone’s email online by just typing the name and the domain. You will need to sign up to use that tool free but there are other plans as well if you want to get more emails count.
This works very well if you target companies that will need high caliber freelancers who are far more advanced than their full-time employees.
Never go cheap
If you think that to earn money on Fiverr you need to sell your gigs for 5$ then you are mistaken, my friend.
Don’t go cheap on a gig that offers high-quality service because you are desperate.
The whole idea of freelancing is to offer yourself a very good side income or even better you transition into a full-time freelance job.
Thumbnails
I can’t tell you how important this step is because when a client is scrolling on Fiverr the first thing they see is the thumbnail even more than the Gigs titles themselves.
Meaning that you will even need to put your titles inside your thumbnails and don’t forget to have your dimensions correct and not all stretched out.
of course it helps that you have screenshots for proof of work inside these thumbnails as it will help your credibility even more and show how authentic you are.
