‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series, one of the most awaited web Series of 2024. The first look of the film was released in February last year. Since then this film has become a topic of much discussion on the internet.
Based on the Indian independence movement against the British Raj in the 1940s, Heeramandi is about the lives of courtesans living in the Red-Light district of Heera Mandi, Lahore.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Sehgal and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Bhansali has called Heeramandi his “biggest” project and casts more Actor and Actress, the series explores the cultural reality of Heeramandi, a glittering district, through the stories of prostitutes and their patrons, set against the tumultuous backdrop of the Indian independence struggle of the 1940s. After months of wait, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series is finally ready to release worldwide.
