The film has crossed the Rs 25 crore mark at the worldwide box office! This year hasn’t had a good start, with Captain Miller, Ayalan and Laal Salaam all crashing at the box office, however, the re-release of Ghilli has taken things back a bit.

According to Cinetrack, Ghilli, which was released on April 20, had already earned around Rs 3 crore in worldwide pre-sales even before the opening day. The film is being watched by fans not only in India but across the world, and has overtaken the collections of many freshly released films in the UK, including Rajinikanth’s Laal Salaam.
After opening, its earning on the 1st day box office collection is around Rs 10 crore. It has collected around Rs 1.05 crore from the region and has secured the third position, leaving behind Lal Salaam. Reports suggest that the film may become the highest-grossing re-release at the Indian box office. It has already beaten the box office numbers of Sholay 3D (11 crores) and the re-release of Titanic in India.
