Career
One of the biggest stars in the Bhojpuri cinema company is undoubtedly Nirahua. He is on par with Bhojpuri celebrities like Ravi Kishan and Pawan Singh, among others. He is also referred to in the Bhojpuri film industry as the Jubilee Star.
He debuted in the Bhojpuri movie Chalat Musafir Moh Liyo Re. Following his appearance in the well-known Bhojpuri film Nirahua Rikshaw Wala, he came to be known as Nirahuwa. He began his career as a co-star with Pakhi Hegde, and the two of them delivered hit after hit with films like Vidhata, Saat Saheliyan, and Pratigya, among others.
He featured in Nirahua Hindustani, a cult favorite of the Bhojpuri film industry, in 2014. In 2016, he won his first Best Actor Award for his role in the movie Patna Se Pakistan. He and seasoned Bhojpuri actress Amrapali Dubey have been an impressive duo since 2016 and have collaborated on blockbusters like Nirahua Hindustani 2, Border, Nirahua Hindustani 3, and Muqaddar Ka Sikandar. - He was announced as a Bharatiya Janata Party contender for the Azamgarh constituency in the 2019 Indian Lok Sabha elections on April 3, 2019.
- He ran against former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, but lost. He was defeated by Akhilesh Yadav by a vote count of 259,874.
- He defeated Samajwadi Party candidate Dharmendra Yadav in the Azamgarh constituency by-election in 2022 by a margin of 8,700 votes.
