Aloe vera can benefit you inside and out. Did you know that it’s not only good for treating burns, but helps to remove other forms of damage to your skin, such as the after-effects of chemical peels, scarring and extreme acne damage? It’s a miracle plant, full of healing and rejuvenating properties. Let’s put it into practice, possibly instead of using botox antiwrinkle injections?
Healing Peel: This is a great healing treatment for light to moderate burns. You can make it as a cream or liquefied base. For peels, which strip the outer layers of skin, aloe vera is great because its gel is rich in healing and protective properties. The anti-inflammatory qualities also help to minimize the loss of tissue surrounding the burn. This may seem like a little helpful information, but I’m sure you’ll be busy working it’s way. To make the anti-inflammatory and peeling properties of the aloe vera, you will need aloe vera juice and an abrasive substance such as a plaster or sand. What happens is you apply the aloe vera juice, allow it to dry and then scrub the burn with the abrasive. This is important. If you are treating a large area of flesh, you better make sure that you are using a rough scrub, especially if you are using soap to wash the wound. A washcloth will do, or you can use what is called a power sponge. I prefer the power sponge, because I don’t have to scrub my skin raw. I just put it on, and then just scrub. The aloe vera gets absorbed, and it’s just a little while before I can see any difference. You see, I have scars from both of my burn injuries, and I paranoid about medical doctors wanting to take myerves away. That wouldn’t happen for me. I’d rather keep my secret to myself.
Treating Burn Scars: Aloe vera is amazingly useful in the treatment of scars left behind by burn victims. Did you know that the reason you get a scar is because the skin at the injury was damaged, and the body produced a fibrous protein called collagen to try and compensate. Did you know that most skin scars cannot be totally eliminated? Many burn injuries are compound, meaning they have layers of tissue that have to be repaired. But, the tissue that has been damaged, can be healed. Aloe vera helps the healing process by creating a barrier, or a non-ucckered area. This area will increase your body’s natural healing process.
Additionally, aloe vera is widely used to reduce skin irritation. Sunburns and insect bites can be cured by squeezing the juice from the aloe vera leaves. The taste is not unpleasant, and the results are quick. It’s applied to the affected area and within a few days, you can be back to normal! It can also be used to sooth chapped lips.
Skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema are treated by using aloe vera gel. These conditions cause severe flaking, itchiness and redness. Their cousins, acne, are less prone to be treated by aloe vera. The gel from the aloe vera plant has been proven to be an excellent moisturizer for very dry skin. You can apply the gel to your face and neck, too.
Acne is another skin condition that can be treated with aloe vera gel. You don’t have to suffer; you can eliminate the problem. If you suffer from pimples, you may have noticed that they are usually the same color as the rest of your skin and are extremely dry and rough. This is because they are trying to eat the top layer of your skin, i.e. the epidermis. The gel from the aloe vera plant will be able to greatly help with acne, because it has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. These properties are needed to control acne flare-ups. You just apply the gel as often as you need to, to see much result.
Sunburn is another of the plant’s many side effects. Sunburn is extremely painful, but it only takes a few seconds for the pain to be nearly gone. Many people believe aloe vera can remove sunburn easier than any other treatment. You can try this gel if you are unaware of anything else. It is usually effective and painless.
Wrinkles are another fallen mighty blade of disener. Aloe vera is something that helps your skin re-balance and it looks fresher and healthier. If you want to look younger, or if you want to avoid getting older, then this is something You need to invest in the aloe vera gel.
Heals insect bites, burns and many other skin conditions.
